Is 2026 the year?

Is 2026 going to be the year?
As real estate salespeople, we’re naturally inclined to be bullish. Every year, we believe the market will be better — and this year is no different.

That said, if you’re making buying or selling decisions based purely on predictions around the OCR, mortgage rates, or where economists think the market is heading, you’re unlikely to time it perfectly. Those forecasts change often, and they change quickly.

In my experience, the right time to sell is when you are mentally and financially ready. When that alignment is there, market conditions become relative. You’re selling and buying in the same environment, rather than trying to outguess it.

The best predictions are the ones that suit your situation — not someone else’s outlook.

If you’d like to talk through what 2026 could look like for you specifically, I’m always happy to chat.
