Bid if you are the only bidder!
If you're attending an auction and you’re the only one there ready to buy — bid.
Why? Because you will not find a more motivated vendor than on auction day. In my nearly 10 years of experience, I’ve never quite understood why someone would take half a day off work to attend an auction, only to sit on their hands when the opportunity is right in front of them. If you're the only bidder, you're in the best possible position.
Sometimes buyers wait for others to start the bidding, thinking they’ll “see how it goes.” But if no one else steps forward, the auction may pass in, and you've just missed your window to secure the home unchallenged.
Don't hesitate. If the property is right for you, trust your research, trust your gut, and raise your hand. You might walk away with an excellent result.
